Vexed Gaming have withdrawn from attending Assembly's Winter tournament and the Finnish team RCTIC eSports have replaced them in their stead.
The Polish team Vexed Gaming, who we have currently ranked as 20th best in the world in our latest monthly Global Ranking and who are perhaps best known for their consecutive Major attendances as 'Challengers' in 2015, were part of the four invited teams to the €15,000 Assembly Winter event.
The event itself is taking place from February 5-6 this coming weekend at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre and will see the four invited teams joined by four teams that advanced from two online qualifiers.
These eight will then spar in a a double elimination, best-of-one group stage (decider matches will be best-of-three) followed by a single elimination, best-of-three playoffs.
Hyper and Vexed have withdrawn from Assembly Winter
However, the tournament organisers have now revealed that Vexed Gaming cannot make the Assembly Winter event for unknown reasons (the team did recently release Piotr "peet" Ćwikliński but at the same time did manage to qualify for the $81,000 ESL Expo Barecelona event) and they have thus invited Finnish team RCTIC eSports in their place.
The updated teams list for Assembly Winter 2016 is therefore:

The Assembly Winter event will go live on February 5th and will also have its grand final broadcast on YLE TV2, one of Finland's main TV channels. HLTV.org will also prepare a light preview to go over the eight attending teams in the coming days.
